Meet Dr. Pablo A Jiménez
Pablo A. Jiménez is the Director of the Genesaret Educational Network (www.rededucativagenesaret.com) and the lead pastor of Movimiento La Red (www.movimientolared.com), a digital church.
An ordained minister of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Puerto Rico, Pablo has master's degrees from the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico and Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana; and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary (CTS) in Decatur, Georgia.
Pablo has written several books in English and Spanish, such as Púlpito: An Introduction to Hispanic Preaching s(with Justo L Gonzalez). Pablo is also the editor of La Biblia para la Predicación e(UBS). Pablo has taught at various theological schools, both in English and Spanish, in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
He produces the podcast titled Prediquemos (www.prediquemos.com, has a website in Spanish (www.drpablojimenez.com) and another one in English (www.drpablojimenez.net).
Course description
Literary and historical-critical introduction to the documents of the New Testament (NT). Consider the canonical process, the social historical background of the NT, the historical person of Jesus of Nazareth, the Synoptic Gospels, the Johannine Literature, the Acts of the Apostles, the Pauline Writings, the General Epistles and Revelation. The course approaches the documents in question from literary, historical-critical, sociological, and hermeneutical perspectives.
